Officially a Registered Charity!

1st April 2019

Epping Forest Foodbank has been in the process of working towards becoming an independent charity over the last few months.
6 new Trustees have been appointed and our application to the Charity Commission was submitted on Monday 25th February 2019. We heard back 3 days later (Thursday 28th February 2019) that it was accepted!
We are delighted to announce that Epping Forest Foodbank is now officially a registered charity!
Over the last few years we have been under the governance of Restore Community Church (Beyond Ourselves Reg. No. 1165654) who have kindly supported us in this way.
As we have grown and continue to have vision to reach people in financial crisis in Epping Forest District, it has felt right to become our own charity with our own trustees.
We remain part of the Trussell Trust Foodbank Network and operationally nothing will change.
Over the next weeks and months we will be continuing to work on the migration from Beyond Ourselves to our own governance, policies and bank account etc.
This is a celebratory and significant step for Epping Forest Foodbank and all involved!
We look forward to continuing this journey with the many volunteers, partners and supporters into the future and we are excited about the possibilities that lay ahead.
