Recycling Rewards residents donate £550 to Epping Forest Foodbank

21st January 2020

Epping Forest Foodbank would like to thank Loughton residents taking part in the Recycling Rewards scheme which led to us receiving £550 to help local people in need.

The Recycling Rewards scheme sees local residents from selected purpose-built blocks of flats compete against each other by taking part in activities such as food waste challenge, recycling quiz and ‘right thing, right bin’.

The scheme aims to reduce contamination and improve the quality of recycling, and in the first 2 years 18,000 positive actions have been recorded.

Epping Forest Recycling Rewards is provided by Jump, in partnership with Epping Forest District Council, as the leading supplier of sustainability and wellbeing engagement programmes in the UK.
