Epping Forest Foodbank started 8 years ago today as Loughton Foodbank to help support those in our community who are struggling. Since opening in 2013, we have distributed over 110,000 meals to local people in crisis.
The last year has been challenging, as we adapted our service to continue providing support to our clients over lockdown. We distributed 36,190 meals in the past year, via our distribution centres and doorstep delivery service, to local people in crisis, with 17,730 of those meals going to children.
We currently have 174 volunteers working with us, taking on roles from trustees to coordinators to drivers. Thank you to every single volunteer who has worked with us, past and present!
EFFB will be here for the community for as long as we are needed.
