After 6 years, our volunteer warehouse coordinator Jackie is hanging up her tabard. Since joining for “an afternoon a week”, Jackie has been at the heart of all things Epping Forest Foodbank. Her hard work and dedication has been a massive part of getting Epping Forest Foodbank through the Covid pandemic, switching everything to deliveries at a moment’s notice, and making sure the whole operation went smoothly. Jackie also took a leading role in the Food In School Holidays project feeding vulnerable children when the Free School Meals programme doesn’t run and so much more.
During Jackie’s time at the Foodbank, over 15,000 people received emergency food parcels, and Jackie oversaw nearly every bit of food that went out.
It is impossible to list all of the things Jackie has accomplished at Epping Forest Foodbank. But on behalf of our staff, fellow volunteers and the people who you have helped, thank you Jackie for everything!
