Change of Venue and Times to Saturday Foodbank Distribution Centre from 23rd June 2018

12th June 2018

Epping Forest Foodbank’s first Foodbank centre session opened on Saturday 22nd June 2013 at the Restore Community Centre and continued to operate from the venue for 5 years, weekly on a Saturday afternoon. Over this period Saturday volunteers have distributed over 1000 emergency supplies to local people in crisis.

The Restore Centre will be moving it’s activities to different venues in the local area at the end of June meaning Foodbank will need to relocate.

After a period of seeking an alternative venue, ideally accessible to public transport areas and places to park, Debden Library has welcomingly agreed to host the Saturday Foodbank sessions.

The opening times will change from the afternoon to a Saturday morning between 10:30am – 12noon at Debden Library, Epping Forest College, Borders Lane, Loughton IG10 3SA.

This is a very exciting opportunity and partnership, which will commence for the first time on Saturday 23rd June 2018, one day after Epping Forest Foodbank’s 5th Anniversary!

Debden Library provides free parking, quiet space, a children’s area, access to computers and the internet and free joining to access thousands of books, spoken word (audible), online courses and resources.

All referral agencies have been contacted regarding the change and to inform any client they issue a foodbank voucher to.

Foodbank Distribution Centre location details will be amended to reflect the changes, on the Epping Forest Foodbank website, Facebook and Twitter pages after 16th June 2018.
