Waitrose Community Matters Scheme This December

4th December 2018

This month, Epping Forest Foodbank is one of three charities that will benefit from the Waitrose Community Matters scheme. The scheme supports local causes through donations, and gives customers the opportunity to have a say in the cause they would like to support. This is the second year running that EFFB are a part of this scheme, having received £350 last December.

Customers will be able to support Epping Forest Foodbank in the Buckhurst Hill branch of Waitrose . At the end of their shop, customers will receive a green token which they can place in the box of the cause they would like to support. The more tokens a cause gets, the bigger the donation they will receive. The Waitrose branch will then donate £1,000 between the three causes.

As a local charity, we rely on the support of the community, with donations helping fund our work to stop people going hungry.  Please think of us if you are in Buckhurst Hill Waitrose this month and drop a token in for Epping Forest Foodbank. You can also support us by telling your friends and sharing our posts on social media, thank you.
